in 1984; joined Henkel KGaA
in 1987 as a Senior Research Manager in Germany; was promoted
Director of International Market Research for the Henkel Group
in 1993.
In 1999 he became Vice President Market Research/ Business Intelligence
for Henkel's fast moving consumer goods business.
Research interests: transnational strategic research; transnational
innovation management, new product development, relating data
to decision making (knowledge management), and advertising testing.
Dr. Schroiff is a member of the Executive Committee of the
Marketing Science Institute
(Boston). He is also Chairman of the Advisory Board for the German
Internet Research Company "Dialego"
(Aachen) and a member of the Advisory Board of ICW (Internationales
Centrum für Werbe- und Mediaforschung, Hamburg).
Since 2003 he is a faculty member of the Faculty
of Business and Economics of the Rheinisch- Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen.
He is an avid singer and rock
guitarist - performing regularly with his band "Get Back". He has come to
fame recently as a designer of rock guitar sounds as well - with currently
more than 18.000 downloads of his guitar tones from the Internet (www.line6.com).
He was elected "Market Researcher
of the Year 2005" by the German Professional Organization for Market
Research (BVM, see www.bvm.org ).
